Reading Roundup – May 2016

May Reading Roundup

An Ember in the Ashes – Sabaa Tahir
5/5 – Hands down one of my favourite books I’ve recently read.  Well written, captivating plot, and great characters!  Read my review here.
(Amazon US / Amazon CA / Indigo / Book Depository)

Barkskins – Annie Proulx
3/5 – A bit underwhelmed by this one, but it is still a good historical epic – especially for avid readers of the genre. Will be released June 14 (US) and June 16 (UK). Review to come soon!
(Amazon US / Amazon CA / Indigo / Book Depository)

Ready Player One – Ernest Cline
5/5 – This book.  I like this book.  It takes the crown for my favourite book of 2016 so far.
(Amazon US / Amazon CA / Indigo / Book Depository)

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban – JK Rowling
5/5 – Reread.  And it is still amazing.
(Amazon US / Amazon CA / Indigo / Book Depository)

Dangerous Lies – Becca Fitzpatrick
3/5 – The first half was so cliched and frustrating, I actually almost stopped reading. But the second half was a surprisingly good thriller! Very interesting to have such a stark juxtaposition..
