July 2017 Book Haul – YALC Edition

On Sunday I went to YALC (Young Adult Literature Convention) and it was fantastic! It’s part of the London Film & Comic-con, but fairly self contained, and way less crowded and hectic. I was only there for a few hours — traipsing back and forth between YALC and LFCC — but I managed to snag two ARCs during my brief time there (photo on the right)! The photo on the left is all the chapter samplers and book swag publishers were giving away.

The Loneliest Girl in the Universe – Lauren James
Out in September, Walker Books were selling finished copies for an exclusive YALC only pre-release sale. I love the cover, and I love spaceships!
(Book Depository / Amazon UK)

Invictus – Ryan Graudin
This is the book I was hoping, wishing, desperate to get – and I did! I was second last in line for the ARC! It’s time travel. I already love it. It’s out in September!
(Book Depository / Amazon US / Amazon Canada / Amazon UK)

Blackbird – ND Gomes
A psychological thriller out in November. Alex’s sister disappeared the same night 5,000 blackbirds dropped dead – can she find out what happened?
(Book Depository / Amazon UK)

  1. So glad you had a great time at YALC, even if you were there just for a few hours 🙂 I really want to read The Loneliest Girl, it sounds SO good and that cover is absolutely stunning. Hope you’ll enjoy it 🙂

    1. Next year I definitely want to spend more time there 🙂

Everyone whose read it so far has said it’s amazing! I hope it lives up to the gorgeous cover!
