Empress of a Thousand Skies – Rhoda Belleza
I love sci-fi. And the tagline for Empress is “Take back the throne.” So basically, this is an overthrow the reigning monarch story, but in space. I’m already in love.

The Ship Beyond Time – Heidi Heilig
No surprises, it’s a time travel book. And it’s the sequel to The Girl From Everywhere (I plan to binge the two back to back in an upcoming weekend). I won this book on Twitter thanks to the wonderful Dahlia Adler!

The Young Elites – Marie Lu
I cannot recommend the Legend Trilogy enough! Marie Lu is now one of my favourites so of course I have to devour her Young elites Trilogy as well!

Timeline – Michael Crichton
This is THE book for me. I read this for the first time when I was 14 (so 14 years ago) and it blew my mind by how scienc-ey and time travel-ey it was. Because of Timeline, I skipped over the Young Adult genre as a teenager – which I do regret – but I don’t regret the amazing science thrillers I read because of Timeline!

Overthrow of a monarchy in space?? I have to check out Empress of a Thousand Skies now ^^ Timeline also sounds really cool. I haven’t read anything like those books in a while now so I’ll definitely be looking them up.
