October 2016 Book Haul

October Book Haul

I may have gone a tad overboard this month.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets Illustrated Edition – JK Rowling
The illustrated edition of Philosopher’s Stone was so gorgeous that of course I had to buy this one too.
(Book Depository / Amazon US / Amazon CA / Amazon UK)

These Broken Stars – Amie Kaufman & Meagan Spooner
I love sci-fi and I’ve heard this book is awesome. Why not? I also got a free tote bag from Foyles when I bought it so bonus points!
(Book Depository / Amazon US / Amazon CA / Amazon UK)

Seconds –  Bryan Lee O’Malley
I read Scott Pilgrim yeeeears ago and this story looks awesome (hellooo, time travel!) and my husband already read the entire thing and loved it.
(Book Depository / Amazon US / Amazon CA Amazon UK)

Crooked Kingdom – Leigh Bardugo
I bought this before I even finished Six of Crows. I’m so happy that I did because after finishing SoC I desperately needed the conclusion (about halfway finished as of now!)
(Book Depository / Amazon US / Amazon CA / Amazon UK)

Star Trek Disavowed – David Mack
I went to a Star Trek convention earlier this month (it was awesome and I will forever love Garrett Wang) and they had a wonderful booth with a ton of Star Trek books. I managed to somehow restrain myself and only bought one.
(Book Depository / Amazon US / Amazon CA / Amazon UK)

Lies We Tell Ourselves – Robin Talley
I heard wonderful things about this book – it’s an f/f story that follows a black girl and a white girl in 1959 Virginia after an all-white school is reluctantly forced to integrate.  I just finished reading it a few days ago and it did not disappoint.
(Book Depository / Amazon US / Amazon CA / Amazon UK)

Eleanor & Park – Rainbow Rowell
I love Rainbow Rowell and this was the only book of her’s that I didn’t have.
(Book Depository / Amazon US / Amazon CA / Amazon UK)

Illuminae – Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff
I bought this book purely because I’ve seen so many gorgeous photos of it floating around on Instagram and Tumblr. I didn’t read the synopsis until after it arrived on my doorstep and was relieved to find that it plot sounds as amazing as it looks!
(Book Depository / Amazon US Amazon CA Amazon UK)

Not pictured:

I See You – Clare Mackintosh
The publisher was kind enough to send over an advance copy, and what a gorgeous copy it is!
(Book Depository Amazon US / Amazon CA / Amazon UK)

Heartless – Marissa Meyer
After reading the Lunar Chronicles, Marissa Meyer has become one of my favourite authors. When I found out I got approved for an ARC of Heartless I did the happiest of happy dances!
(Book Depository / Amazon US / Amazon CA / Amazon UK)

Caraval – Stephanie Garber
The early reviews for Caraval have so far been amazing! Another eARC I’m super excited to have.
