I’ve been to my fair share of libraries and, for the most part, their styling hasn’t been anything special. They housed many books and that was what was important.
On a recent excursion to Birmingham, we decided to stop into the recently opened and awesome looking Library of Birmingham.
So many floors with so many books.
Shelves that seem miles long, all organized oh-so-alphabetically.
Also includes futuristic escalator to board the spaceship on the roof. Obviously.
While I’m a huge fan of older architecture with all, I absolutely love when modern buildings get it right. This library looks spectacular from the outside.
